Scanning for Digital Collections, 3D Modeling, and 3D Printing
The project combines new technologies with heritage and culture, aiming to digitally capture and print the city’s 81 most important statues.
The aim of this project was to preserve this valuable heritage collection and make it accessible for educational purposes.
The collection of this information may lead to multiple applications in the future, including integration with virtual museum tours; verification and temporal analysis of the original’s state of preservation, among others.
All pieces were printed in PLA at a scale with a maximum height of 20 cm.
