31 replicas of funerary stelae that were located in an open-air space in Sertã
In order to achieve perfect replicas, we obviously need access to electricity so that we can instal all the necessary equipment. Once this initial difficulty had been resolved, we proceeded with laser scanning and exhaustive photographic survey to support the artistic painting.
After creating 31 full-scale 3D models, some of which were very large, we moved on to printing in PLA.
The structures were then protected with a primer alloy to provide a good base for the artistic painting.
The process ended with the logistics of transporting all the pieces and creating and icing them in the exhibition space.
This is probably the first museum space in Portugal consisting entirely of 3D printed pieces.
